Taryn is a Perth-based actor, singer and theatre-maker. Her recent credits include Amy in ONCE WE LIVED HERE (Western Sky Theatre), Natalya in LAIKA: A STAGED RADIO PLAY (Second Chance Theatre), Dry Sac in [PORTO] (Blue Room Theatre), Paulette in LEGALLY BLONDE (WAAPA), Christiane in the 2017 Martin Sims Award nominated play WHEN HE GETS THAT WAY (Ryan/Louttit), for which she was also composer, and Tracy in the musical short film LIBRARY OF LOVE (Cottesloe Films). Taryn’s first full-length solo work THE NAKED TRUTH earned her a nomination for Best Cabaret at the 2015 Perth FRINGE WORLD Festival, and was included in the official selection for the 2016 Melbourne Cabaret Festival. She has worked as an actor, devisor, and assistant director on the developments of several new theatre works, including new musical SUMMER OF OUR LIVES through Black Swan Theatre Company’s Emerging Writers Group, and has toured Perth and Sydney with theatre-in-education programs, including as Juliet in ROMEO AND JULIET for Barking Gecko Theatre Company’s Living Lecture Series. Outside of productions Taryn works regularly as a commercial voice actor, bounce stilt walker, and arts educator, and loves to unwind by busking at markets with her beloved ukulele, Delilah. Taryn is a graduate of WAAPA (BA Music Theatre).
