Professional Experience

Laura Pedro began her dance training at Pio-X Conservatory of Music and Dance in Jundiai – Sao Paulo, Brazil at age 5 and at 13 years old she received scholarship to join the Halina Biernaska Ballet Classic Dance Academy in Sao Paulo, where she studied for four years. Laura was part of the Pio-X Dance Company in Sao Paulo, during this time she won many awards in renowened national and international festivals such as Joinville Dance Festival, Festidanca, Passo de Arte, ENDA. Laura’s is qualified as Professional Dancer by the Union of Dance Teachers from Sao Paulo State – Brazil and she is full member of Royal Ballet Academy. In 2006 she was dancer and entertainer at the International Hotels Magic Life Resorts at Greece and Turkey. In the same year in Austria she graduated as Basic Aerobic Instructor and teacher at AFAS.

She has worked as a dancer and coregraphers at UNICIRCO (Circus University Marcos Frota Company) by 3 years. Laura has performed many roles in ballet repertory such as Dom Quixote, Le Sylphide, Coppelia, Le Corsaire, Spartacus, Harlequinade, La Esmeralda, Giselle, Black Swan. During the years in Brazil she has developed many works as a teacher and dancer in different schools and with Special Needs Children and as a volunteer dance teacher with children from Sao Paulo slum. In Australia she had worked with Perth City Ballet as a soloist dancer and ballet teacher.

Laura has been part of Kuerazo Latin Dance Production Company as an Artistic Director and dancer since 2010, she has help to produce and directed “La vida es un circo” and the recent directed and created “Os cinco Sentidos” (The Five Senses) that was premiere on Fremantle Festival 2014 and ready for 2017 Perth Fringe Festival. Laura is currently ballet teacher at Principal Academy of Dance and Theatre, Perth School of Ballet and Dance Classic WA and has a prestigious internship with TRACKSUIT Cia Dance with disabilities. As well on the moment Laura is one of the first teachers to training with Ms Alida Segal to develop the International Character Dance Syllabus based on the work of the prestigious Igor Moiseyve Russian Company. Laura Pedro is also have a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management Studies at Sao Francisco University (Sao Paulo – Brazil) and Certificate IV in Marketing at Sterling Businnes College (Perth – Australia).
