Tim How

Tim completed an Advanced Diploma in Performance (Piano) at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2007, under the teaching of Anna Sleptsova and David Wickham. Since then, he’s been working around Perth as a freelance pianist, mainly in the field of dance repetiteur. He’s worked as the official rehearsal pianist for West Australian Ballet for their seasons of “Giselle” and Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet” in 2009, for “Don Quixote” and Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” in 2010, and for Prokofiev’s “Cinderella” in 2011. He’s also currently employed as one of the dance pianists at WAAPA and has undertaken the role of a lecturer and part-time staff member with the musical theatre department at WAAPA, mainly in the role of co-ordinating the Certificate II course. Last year, he played keyboards in the orchestra for the Perth leg of the Australian tour of Wicked. He is also an accomplished actor and singer, having accrued a list of stage credits to his name, including a production of Side by Side by Sondheim at the Subiaco Arts Centre and Les Miserables at the Regal Theatre. He’s also musical directed shows through Janus Entertainment and MESH Youth Theatre Company. He completed a Certificate II in Musical Theatre at WAAPA in 2005.
