Sacha Lee Flanagan

Shacha Lee Flannigan - Principal Academy of Dance

A graduate of The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Sacha completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance in 2009. As a member of LINK Dance Company in 2010 she performed works by internationally acclaimed choreographers and toured Australia, Spain, France and the Netherlands. As a freelance Artist in Australia Sacha has performed through the platforms of STRUT Dance in the Short Cuts season, Carol Brown’s full length work Tongues of Stone and on the development of Alice Lee Holland’s Tiny Little Tragedies. Sacha has also worked for Buzz Dance Theatre in Perth City and regional Western Australia. Re-locating to London UK in August 2011, Sacha has performed for a number of British choreographers, including the Bittersuit Collective, Luca Silverstrini’s Protein Dance on their production of Border Tales at The Place and as a company member of Bricolage Dance Movement; Performing as a soloist in Story of a Night Pianist in three UK seasons, performances in British Dance/Arts Festivals, tours to Germany and Switzerland and the film adaptation Faraday’s Cage directed by award winning dance film producer Terry Braun. Sacha’s choreographic commissions include work with various music artists in the UK and France, and a collaborative development with Scott Ewen on Black Earth.
