Name: Phil Talbot AISTD Dip, LCGI
Training: Born in the U.K Phil commenced his professional dance training in his early twenties under the professional guidance of Maureen Headford FISTD at The Stage Door College of Dance (UK).
Phil’s first stage appearance was as dancer/actor with London producers Michael Rose Limited in the musical “Cinderella”. From there came further musical theatre credits including principal dancer for “Carousel”; “Crazy for You”; “Singing In The Rain”;” Sound of Music” “Turundut” & “Carmen” with the Russian Opera Company; & dancer/actor in “Aladdin A Magical Ride”. After numerous cabaret shows & a national dance spectacular show for Mercedes Benz, Phil left the U.K for a new life in Western Australia where he became co-founder of the Stage Door School of Performing Arts. During this time Phil continued his training with Amanda Green FISTD, ARAD. to obtain his associate diploma in Modern Theatre Dance & Jazz. Over the past few years Phil has become highly regarded as a choreographer & dance instructor for stage. Choreographic credits include a segment for ABC televisions “Strictly Dancing”, “The Magic of Broadway”, “Western Stars Spectacular” at the Perth Concert Hall, director for “Noyes Fludde” “Bugsy Malone” for All Saints College, “Bats” for PLC, producer & choreographer for “Aladdin” at the Regal Theatre & assistant director/choreographer for IGA Carols by Candlelight at The Supreme Court Gardens for 6 years. Founder/creator of Principal Academy of Dance and Theatre Arts in 2008.
