Peter Fares

Peter began his dancing at the age of fifteen through the dance program at Rossmoyne Senior High School. Since graduating in 2005, he joined Steps Youth Dance Company and performed in KISSXX (2006) and Dash (2007) in which he had the lead role. He was accepted into the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2007 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance in 2009. In 2010, Peter joined Buzz Dance Theatre as a company member. He has performed seven Buzz seasons over the four years including Behind The Veneer, Stop! Dont Blink , Postcards Home, Thrill, Fragile, Restless, Look The Other Way and Goodbye Jamie Boyd. He has also been involved in Buzz Dance Theatre’s indigenous community tour Big Stretch in 2010 and 2011. In 2012 Peter has also worked with Jacob Lehrer on a creative development of the work Found and involved in the Australian remount of the work 3G choreographed by Jean Claude Galota in 2012. He also performed Shortburts a work by Marko Panzic at the 2010 Australian Dance Awards in Melbourne. in June 2013 Peter performed Driving Into Walls by Barking Gecko Theatre Company at Parramatta Riverside Theatre and Sydney Opera House. He has had eight years experience in the dance teaching industry and will be completing his diploma of education this year.
