Penny is a professional opera singer and an Oxford University graduate. She has been singing professionally since she was 16, beginning her working life in a jazz band which kept her in pocket money though out her school and college years.Penny’s early career had numerous highlights such as receiving a standing ovation in Paris as Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata, singing on the classic album Reverence by Faithless and playing Satan’s girlfriend in the award-winning opera movie Hell for Leather. Penny spent a year understudying the role of Carlotta in Cameron Mackintosh’s Phantom of the Opera before moving to Australia in 1999. Penny is part of the WA Opera and has written and starred in numerous shows and is one half of the ever popular DivaLicious, a soprano duo with a comic twist. In addition to making the finals of Australia’s Got Talent and having appeared on The Voice, DivaLicious has had sell out shows at Fringe World and the Sydney Opera House.
