Fiona trained in Perth, Australia where she gained her CSTD Full Diploma’s in Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap and Theatrical. She also holds her RAD Advanced 2 Ballet Award and her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management, under the Australian Dance Institute (ADi).
Fiona lived in Singapore for 7 years were she was resident choreographer and dance lecturer at the LASALLE College of the Arts – Bachelor of Musical Theatre Degree program. Many of her graduating students are currently working on the West End, Broadway and throughout Asia and Australia. Her choreographic works include, “Thoroughly Modern Mille”, “Sweet Charity”, “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”, “Nine”,“Nunsense”, “Into the Woods”, and many Graduating Year Industry Showcase productions.
Fiona also worked as the Senior Teacher at the Attitude Performing Arts Studio, where she created the professional performing group, to inspire young people to learn different styles of dance through choreography and performance. This group, performed many corporate events throughout Singapore including TV series productions with WUWU Pictures, Medicorp Channel 8 and Miss Universe Pageant Singapore.
Since moving back to Perth, Fiona continues to teach as a freelancer teacher and is currently training under the CSTD in the Examiner’s Program. Fiona is striving to inspire more students and bring her passion, knowledge and love of dance to Principal Academy of Dance.
