This qualification offers intensive training and skills development to a professional level. The course is specifically designed to produce highly skilled and diverse professional performers enabling them to seek work in a broad range of future employment such as musical theatre productions, cruise ships, entertainment resorts, theme parks, film and television. The course is delivered with majors in dance, musical theatre and acting.
The aim is to ensure graduates have acquired a comprehensive range of skills and in-depth knowledge to display the disciplined attitude necessary for a professional dancer, singer and actor. Throughout the course, students will enhance and refine their technique and artistry showing confidence, assurance and professional awareness in application. Also, a comprehensive understanding of professional contexts will be applied in performance and practice.
Students will be provided with the opportunity to perform in the mid-year performance, stage play, musical revue and end of year showcase featuring choreography, vocal and scene work from popular stage and movie musicals. This is also an opportunity for the general public and invited industry professionals to view up and coming artists.
